"Ruth is a good instructor and great coach. She enables the rider to work out what is not quite right / 'problem' rather than being told directly and helps the rider to think for themselves to action a solution to the current 'problem.' I have a horse who I took on, and now bought, as a 'non-jumping' horse who lacks confidence in himself . We have thrived with Ruth's coaching going from strength to strength now jumping confidently over 3ft courses show jumping and cross country. We are now out competing most weekends in all three disciplines and plan to affiliate with British Eventing next season in 2012."

“Ruth has taught my nervous daughter regularly for over three years. During this time she has been encouraging and empathetic, helping Alice to set realistic targets for becoming an independent rider and gently encouraging a secure seat and correct aids.

She has also been a great support in all matters of horse care, being knowledgeable and very experienced, giving us advice regarding feeding, tack, and all pony matters. We would not have progressed this far without her on our team.“

"Ruth started to teach me as I had become so despondent with my own riding and my horse's way of going.  She has an amazing technique of introducing simple changes that have amazing results, without overwhelming either the horse or rider.  Ruth has proved to be very flexible with times/days of lessons - essential when working shifts - and her advice is always available - not just whilst having a lesson.  Ruth has also set me goals/homework to practise to improve my next lesson.  In just the short time, Ruth has been giving me lessons on flatwork and jumping - my horse and I have been placed at every event we have been to - with better and better results. I was so impressed, I also had one lesson on my pony of 15 yrs - taking him to a dressage test the following week and gaining our best results ever.  I thoroughly recommend Ruth to any level of rider- and having spread the word around the yard - other fellow riders now are so impressed they have taken up lessons too!"
